Oh my god bro, this game, it’s like far too awesome for words. You see, you’re this guy called Henry Hatsworth, and he’s all British and proper and shit. He’s like holding a motherfucking tea cup in one hand and one of those bad ass explorer swords in the other on the cover. Come on bro! Does it get any better than this? Guess what; it does! The game even has a puzzle for you to play on the touchscreen too! So yeah anyway let’s talk about this game. You play Henry Hatsworth right, and he’s like this Professor, but not one of those boring ones, he’s like Indiana Jones, bro, he spends all his time kicking other peoples asses! I am going to have to call this one of the best games ever already, I just knew from watching the trailer on youtube and reading comments like “This is the best DS game ever” that I just had to buy this right away.
So anyway, I’m starting to play this game and wow, the gameplay is just like the best ever. You see the gameplay involves fighting these small annoying enemies then after you kill their asses they become blocks on the touchscreen. You can either hit them with your sword or use your gun to shoot them. At about every 30 seconds, you gotta pause the game and go chain blocks together on the touchscreen, now bro this is so awesome, because I just love Tetris Attack! So breaking up the platforming action every single 30 seconds is extremely welcome, this is the best addition to a platformer ever! Now when you chain the blocks you power up and Henry yells “Tea time!” and then you can get like this mech which makes you invincible, it’s like a British Gundam, bro, goddamn. You’ll need it to beat the bosses too, I thought I was playing Contra for a second since the bosses are so difficult. You can also shop for upgrades with the coins enemies drop after you finish a level, you’ll need them too, I mean, damn this game is hard.
Now I gotta talk about the graphics, they look just like all my favorite Wiiware and DS games. Henry Hatsworth is quite small himself so you get a lot of room on the screen to see everything. The game might be made by an EA subdivision but man it’s just like an indie game, so witty and artistic. Tea time never looked so good!
So yeah about that ‘Tea time’, it’s like Henry’s catchphrase and man it’s so original and cool, it’s pretty much all you hear him say since all the cutscenes have accented mumbling like most games these days, which is also cool.
So that’s all I really gotta say about the game, bro. It’s like ironically awesome cause you gotta play an old British guy who drinks tea, I mean that’s just so awesome in it’s own way.
10/10 – A must buy, seriously, the DS game catalogue just keeps getting better and better.
You could make an entire site out of reviews like this. Every single DS game needs to be reviewed in this way — even different versions of the same game, eg: Nintedogs: Dachshund & Friends, Nintedogs: Lab & Friends, Nintedogs: Chihuahua & Friends, etc.
